Hiring fair deemed ‘huge success’
The Army Reserve Center played host to hundreds of employers and potential employees Oct. 2 for a hiring fair sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor and the Soldier for Life- Transition Assistance Program. The event included representatives from such organizations as Lockheed Martin, Lowe’s, Aaron’s, Augusta University Medical Center, Rodeway Inn, First Command and the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Job seekers were encouraged to “dress for success and bring plenty of resumes.
Fort Gordon hiring fairs are excellent ways for transitioning Servicemembers, Veterans and spouses to meet military-friendly employers who are interested in hiring people with leadership and on-the-job skills obtained while in the military and supporting our communities. Many have landed sustainable high-paying jobs while participating each year.
