ARCYBER, Army Materiel Command leaders discuss cyber complexities
To ensure the Army keeps pace with technological changes, senior leaders joined forces to discuss important cyber issues. Army Cyber Command’s Commanding General Lt. Gen. Stephen G. Fogarty met with Army Materiel Command’s Commanding General Gen. Gus Perna, Deputy Commanding General Lt. Gen. Ed Daly and other senior staff Aug. 13, to discuss the intricacies of the DOD information network.
“Our bread and butter is to operate and defend system networks,” said Fogarty.
ARCYBER is engaged in the real-world cyberspace fight against near-peer adversaries, ISIS and other global cyber threats. It defends military networks, secures Army weapons platforms and protects critical infrastructure. Army Cyber forces are deployed globally, conducting defensive and offensive cyber operations.
