Army’s top cyber chief discusses threats

Commanding General of U.S. Army Cyber Command, Lt. Gen. Stephen Fogarty, discussed challenges facing the country’s cybersecurity defenses.

Every day, the United States faces threats that attempt to undermine the country’s security.

Lt. Gen. Stephen Fogarty, the commanding general of U.S. Army Cyber Command, addressed these cyber threats in a packed ballroom on the second day of TechNet Augusta.

Fogarty is familiar with Augusta, having served as commander of the Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon in 2014. In about two years, Fogarty will return to Augusta when Army Cyber Command moves to Fort Gordon from Fort Belvoir, Va.
