Regional cyber-education program named CyberPatriot Center of Excellence

Metro Augusta’s youth cyber-education program has been named the nation’s newest CyberPatriot Center of Excellence.

The designation by the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot Program Office makes the local program the 15th in the nation – and the only in Georgia and South Carolina – to receive the honor.

Alliance for Fort Gordon Executive Director Tom Clark said in a statement Monday the recognition was the result of work by the Alliance’s cyber education committee as well as “our region’s school superintendents, our region’s strong business partnerships, our 100 CyberPatriot regional teams and the Fort Gordon Adopt-a-School program.”
